Transport and logistics professionals receive Queen’s Birthday Honours

Senior transport and logistics professionals have been recognised for their achievements in the Queen’s Birthday Honours list, released on June 12th.

Malcolm Shepherd, Chief Executive Officer, Sustrans has been made a Commander of the British Empire (CBE) for services to transport and the environment. 

Christopher Grahame Welsh, Director, Global and European Policy, Freight Transport Association (FTA) has been made a Member of the British Empire (MBE) for services to shippers and the shipping industry. 

The Department for Transport’s (DfT) Policy Advisor, Philippa Ann Brown, has been made a Member of the British Empire (MBE) for her services to transport.

Additional transport and logistics professionals awarded: 

Richard Ian Morgan, Deputy Chairman, Wellglade Group. For services to public transport and the community in the East Midlands.

Anne Broome, Private Office Business Manager, Department for Transport. For services to transport.

Fiona Mary Carr, Mrs Hamilton Community Transport Organiser, East Scotland. For voluntary service to the British Red Cross Transport Service.

William Robert Mayne, Joint Chair and Director, CDM Community Transport and Chair, Shopmobility Cookstown and Dungannon. For services to rural transport and people with disabilites.

Martyn Loukes, Chair, LGBT Staff Network, Transport for London. For services to diversity in the workplace.

Bryan Thomas Henderson Watts, Port Operative, Port of Bristol. For services to the shipping industry.

Ms Jane Elizabeth Everton, Deputy Director, Planning (Development Plans), Department for Communities and Local Government. For services to Planning.

Geoffrey French FCILT, Chairman, Scott Wilson and President, ICE.  For services to civil engineering.  

Benjamin Colson FCILT, Managing Director, Norfolk Green.  For services to the economy and the community in Norfolk.
