Outline proposals for a three million sq ft strategic logistics park has been submitted by db symmetry - a joint property venture from Barwood and Delancey. 

The major new 220 acre site would be called Symmetry Park and situated just south of Magna Park, Logistics Manager reports. 

Gazeley recently submitted an application for an 180,000 sq ft unit on the last plot of Magna Park - and it has been confirmed this will be speculatively built.

There will be no remaining parks left for occupation once this has been completed, which is why further new logistical development is required in the area. 

Planning consultants Framptons is advising on the development - and the firm's Peter Frampton said there is an urgency to this project, as it is needed to meet the demands of the logistics sector. 

"Companies selling goods via the internet, efficiently serve their customers by ensuring that logistics buildings are well placed to their markets," he commented.
