A new state of the art national distribution centre (NDC) will be opened by chilled food distribution business Adelie at Prologis Park in Heathrow later this year.
The firm - which was acquired by HIG Capital in March - has invested around £4 million in the new site, which occupies more than 100,000 sq ft.
Additional capacity will be added to Adelie's network by the facility, which will support its ongoing volume growth and help to further develop its third party distribution services.
In addition to this, Adelie is set to open a standalone distribution site in Scotland in the next few months.
A new 80 strong fleet of fuel efficient vehicles has also been taken on, supported by an extensive programme of driver training.
Supply chain director for Adelie Rick Kovac said: "The new facility at Prologis Park gives us the opportunity to create a state of the art distribution operation that will enable us to provide a fantastic working environment for the team."
