Logistics giant TNT benefitted from revenue growth of 6.2 per cent year-on-year in the second quarter of 2015.
The firm posted its latest financial results, which revealed that its Q2 revenues were €1,757 million (£1,248 million).
Operating income was €19 million - a considerable increase on the corresponding figure of €3 million posted for the same period in 2014.
TNT chief executive officer Tex Gunning said the company is being turned around under its current strategy, which has been dubbed Outlook.
He noted that growth is particularly positive in the small to medium-sized enterprise segment, where TNT has emerged from a period of decline.
"We have guided that we expect 2015 to be a transition year in terms of bottom-line performance, as we continue to invest in the transformation of TNT," Mr Gunning remarked, adding that he is feeling positive about the macro-economic backdrop in Europe.
