Lambert Smith Hampton (LSH), the commercial property consultancy, is seeking a tenant for UK Mail's 208,186 sq ft cross-docked industrial unit in Birmingham.
UK Mail has relocated to a new site near Coventry, prompted by the government's decision to build its new HS2 rail link through Express House at Wolseley Drive in Birmingham's Heartlands.
The building is due to be knocked down in two years' time, so LSH is seeking a short term lease for the industrial headquarters, which boasts an eaves height of ten metres, 124 loading doors on a total site area of around 17 acres.
LSH associate director Matthew Tilt emphasised the fact that there is currently a shortage of good industrial properties in the region.
"We are anticipating a lot of interest in this particular unit," he commented, adding: "There is nothing else like it on the market where a short-term flexible lease is being openly encouraged."
