The training is highly practical in focus and concentrates on providing the skills and knowledge necessary to successfully perform a customs role within any organisation.  It offers real life skills for use at the desk rather than focusing on lengthy written assignments and theoretical discussions and is therefore suitable for anyone who works with the international movement of goods. 

CILT has recognised that in the drive to improve the international logistics process this area is often overlooked or thought to be someone else’s problem as it needs a scarce skill set.  However, considering the critical nature and impact of getting it wrong on all the companies in the supply chain the time has come to focus on this essential element of the process.

CILT is proud to champion professionalism in customs competency to support the increasingly global nature of business in the 21st century.  This course supports CILT objectives to improve both training opportunities for young people in logistics and career paths within the sector.

The course duration is 5 days and offers 30 CPD hours and for non-members it includes 1 years e-membership of CILT.

Tuition is provided by an exceptionally experienced Chartered Fellow of the Institute who has over 35 years practical experience across many different industries.   The course has been created and is run by Morley Consulting Training Limited both as a public course and an in-house course on request.
