Leading European supply chain operator Geodis has purchased Ozburn-Hessey Logistics (OHL) for an undisclosed figure.
OHL was originally founded in 1951 and is one of the world's leading 3PL enterprises, operating over 120 value-added distribution centers in North America.
This gives it more than 36 million square feet of flexible warehouse space, enabling it to provide integrated global supply chain management solutions such as transport, warehousing, freight forwarding and import and export consulting services.
Geodis - which is owned outright by SNCF Logistics - unified its offerings under its umbrella brand name earlier this year, so OHL is expected to be rebranded as Geodis before long.
Chief executive officer of Geodis Marie-Christine Lombard said she is proud to welcome OHL customers and employees to her firm.
"Geodis offers a second to none global footprint for North American corporations and the clients of OHL seeking to grow internationally," she remarked.
