After the outstanding success of the eDelivery and InternetRetailing Expo with a record of 5056 visitors, InternetRetailing and eDelivery presents the inaugural eDelivery Conference on 13th October. The board-level delivery conversation continues at the Novotel in Hammersmith, where trends, including operation complexities and solutions of Logistics and Distribution, will be discussed.

Adopting the highly successful format of InternetRetailing Conference, which celebrates its tenth year, but with a stimulating twist, eDelivery will open their show with three sequential keynotes to a plenary audience ‘merged’ into a single interactive conversation: a ‘ThreeNote’.

Three C-level executives from a single, admired retailer as Shop Direct will take over the stage together. Gareth Jones, Deputy CEO, Dan Rubel, Group Strategy & Communications Director, and Jonathan Wall, eCommerce Director, will lead a dynamic conversation illuminating not only their own experience and achievements, but how, through working across silos, they can affect change and deliver for the demanding multichannel customer.

Hearing their combined views will bring insight over the strategic, operational and trading leadership of a business that embodies the disciplines of direct selling with the agility and appetite for change of an entrepreneurial start-up. In addition, this session will bring together the captains of key corporate departments to discuss the ways they are moving forward as a united front, to enhance cross-functional collaboration and drive future success.

This entry will be deepened and complemented by other high-level speakers such as Calum Lewis, Operations Director at Lego Company Ltd and Richard Jenkins, Head of RFID Strategic Development at Marks and Spencer.

As eCommerce growth within retail has been enabled by click and collect and cross-channel capabilities, the focus with multichannel retail has turned to the logistics, operations and supply chain professionals ‘behind the buy button’. Retailers have to overcome different adversities to deliver, not only a product, but a promise to the demanding connected customer.

For this reason, the event will be practitioner-led by professionals who have directed and delivered significant projects for globally-renowned retailers, brands and services. They will present case studies focusing upon what they’ve done, what they’re doing, and their results. In addition, InternetRetailing will share useful information and researches comparing and evaluating the performance and capabilities of the Top500.

This conference will provide a better understanding of different stages within the delivery process, such as Supply Chain, Warehouse Management and Operations, Logistics and Customer Service, through the best practices and solutions developed by companies in the field.

Speaking ahead of the event, Editor-In-Chief Ian Jindal and host of the Conference, said: 'The eDelivery Conference is the ‘rosetta stone’ between the hard-iron realities of large-scale operations and the irresistible force of the connected customer.'
'It is a great peer-led educational opportunity that approaches challenges and achievements that underpin the successes. These are the businesses whose capabilities are admired and emulated globally, and this conference will hear from those leaders while offering them an opportunity to learn in turn from peers.'

Celebrating its tenth year, the InternetRetailing Conference (IRC) will take place on 14th October, following the eDelivery conference. With over 1000 visitors from across the retail sector, the show will highlight the board-level conversation in multichannel retail.
