Menzies Distribution has been appointed as one of the logistics providers for e-commerce delivery business wnDirect.
Packaged orders from wnDirect's retail customers will be collected by Menzies drivers, before being sent to dedicated processing centres in Derbyshire and Kent, where they will be combined for export loads.
Menzies will increase its handling activity on routes for wnDirect, starting with 12 routes and expanding to all 60 of wnDirect's collection routes by October.
Despite only having started trading in 2011, wnDirect has grown to employ 80 people and boasts a turnover of £83 million.
UK managing director of the firm Jonathan Matchett underlined just how important it is that he is able to deliver fast and effective service to his customers.
"We are committed to supporting our retailer partners to enhance their customer satisfaction levels through a successful delivery supply chain, which is particularly important as we enter the peak period leading up to Christmas," he remarked.
