DPDgroup has posted its latest financial results, which reveal a 20 per cent increase in operating profit for the year ending January 4th.
The figure currently stands at £106.1 million - a significant increase on the corresponding figure of £88.4 million recorded one year previously, Logistics Manager reports.
The group, which is the parent company of UK firms DPD and Interlink, also reported a 26 per cent rise in turnover to £872.5 million.
Particularly strong growth was recorded in outbound international services, which outstripped the performance of domestic services.
A range of new delivery options have been introduced for customers of the organisation, including a pickup service that allows the delivery recipient to choose the point of sale where their item is dropped off.
DPDgroup has also invested in a new £100 million distribution hub in Hinckley, expanding its capacity by 65 per cent.
