Palletised freight network Palletways has strengthened its senior management team with the appointment of Dave Walmsley as member and network development director. 

Mr Walmsley joins the firm from Lyreco, which is a worldwide distributor of workplace products. 

His new responsibilities include ensuring the continuous development and growth of the Palletways UK network, as well as offering support to the group's 106 members.

This comes in the wake of an eventful year for Palletways, which recently unveiled a new central hub in Lichfield, which is already fully operational and has increased the organisation's capacity by 8,000 pallets per day. 

"Palletways has got a great reputation in the UK and across Europe and the business is doing extremely well," Mr Walmsley commented.
