Yusen Logistics has announced the opening of a €2 million (£1.42 million) state-of-the-art dangerous goods storage operation facility in Duisburg, Germany.
The site is fully equipped to handle warehousing, trans-shipping and picking operations for dangerous goods and the opening represents part of a wider expansion for Yusen Logistics.
Yusen is one of the leading logistics service providers in Duisburg, boasting a European distribution centre strategically located in Logport.
This gives the firm excellent connections to the region’s motorway network, in addition to the largest inland port in the world.
Managing director of Yusen Logistics Germany Mario Cavallucci said the new dangerous goods facility is a big milestone for his company.
"It responds to the growing demand for dangerous goods logistics and is an integral part of our future strategy," he remarked.
Mr Cavallucci added that through this opening, "Yusen aims to ensure that its customers receive the highest quality of service".
