LondonMetric Property has announced it has agreed to purchase a new 356,000 sq ft distribution warehouse development at Omega South in Warrington.
Omega Warrington - a joint venture between Miller Developments and KUC Properties - will carry out the development work, which is being funded by LondonMetric to the tune of £30 million.
The facility is to be built at Omega South's logistics hub, which is adjacent to another warehouse owned by LondonMetric, which is 690,000 sq ft in size and has been let to The Hut Group.
Situated on Junction 8 of the M62, this site is considered to be a top five logistics hubs in the UK, with Asda, Brake Bros, Hermes and Travis Perkins among the other occupiers.
LondonMetric chief executive Andrew Jones said: "This will be a high specification building in an excellent and proven location so we expect strong interest and will use our extensive occupier relationships to secure a tenant."
