A new 58,000 sq m distribution centre (DC) for clothes retailer Next is on target for completion in early 2016.
The project represents a collaboration between Adept Civil and Structural Consulting Engineers, contractor Bowmer & Kirkland and steelwork firm Billington Structures.
Managing director of Adept Erol Erturan told Logistics Manager that his company is excited to be working on the project.
He explained that it is a very positive time for this sector of the market, as the Next DC is just one of many under construction at the moment.
The new building is adjacent to Next's existing DC and will be connected by a conveyor link bridge on the north-east corner of the facility.
Mr Erturan said: "The bridge will be a four span 120 metre long structure formed with a series of trusses to accommodate the double deck configuration."
