Eurogate Logistics and Transmec form a new partnership

16 February 2016/Categories: Industry News

A new partnership between Eurogate Logistics and Transmec will allow both companies to expand their European coverage from Spain to Russia.

By combining their road and rail networks they will be able to improve the efficiency of their logistics and delivery, reports Logistics Manager.

Based in Essex, Eurogate runs freight services between central Europe and Russia. Meanwhile, Transmec's headquarters are in Italy and it has strong connections in the western and south-eastern parts of Europe.

Alongside road and rail networks, both companies offer air and sea freight services and each has warehouse offerings available for their clients.

Collectively the two companies have 50 offices throughout the continent including two in Russia: Moscow and Samara, which is a link to central Asia.

This is not the first foray into partnership for the companies as Transmex is the receiving partner for goods that Eurogate freight carriers transport from Romania.

General manager of Transmec UK Jon Simkins said: "Our geographical coverage dovetails perfectly, enabling us to offer customers a complete service at highly competitive rates."

Attesting to their suitability, Adam Nagy, managing director of Eurogate, commented: "The partnership is a win-win situation for customers."
