James Colbourne, 43, has been appointed to the position of Regional Sales Director – Scotland for Scania (Great Britain) Limited. In this role James succeeds Brian Shute, Scania's long-standing Sales Director for the region, who has retired.
James Colbourne, who takes up his position on 23 February 2016, will be based at Scania Bellshill and has more than ten years experience in the automotive industry. He joins Scania from Mercedes-Benz UK's Commercial Vehicles operation, where he held a variety of sales and aftersales positions. Prior to that, he worked for Ssang Yong, Vauxhall Leasing and MG-Rover Group in roles spanning sales, business management and network development.
"James brings to Scania a wealth of experience which I am sure will benefit our organisation tremendously," comments Sandy Millar, Regional Executive Director – Scotland for Scania (Great Britain) Limited. "He takes up the reins from Brian Shute who, together with our regional sales force, has built a solid foundation which over the years has delivered consistently high sales performances for Scania north of the border. As such, James is joining an exceptionally strong team. On behalf of all of us at Scania Scotland, I wish Brian a long and happy retirement and James every success in his new career with us."
