Logistics provider DHL is working alongside finnish postal operator Posti to expand its network across Scandinavia, Finland and the Baltic States.
Posti is a subsidiary of Posten Norge, a large Norwegian operator throughout the network DHL is looking to infiltrate, reports Logistics Manager.
This expansion will come into effect on Friday 1st April and will see seven countries added to DHL's parcels network. By doing this, the company will be able to expand its cross-border e-commerce.
Speaking on the plans Jurgen Gerdes, CEO of Post-eCommerce-Parcel at Deutsche Post DHL Group, said: "Together with our local partners, we want to help [our customers] grow their business and develop the e-commerce market in these countries as best as possible."
He added that due to this, DHL will be able to offer "22 million online shoppers in northern Europe convenient access to the largest parcel shop network in this area".
Currently, DHL parcel delivery is already available in 16 European countries, including its own native Germany.
