Luxury carmaker and British icon Aston Martin has announced the launch of a new division of its business called Aston Martin Consulting (AMC).

This section of the business will see the firm giving other companies the chance to work with the brand to improve their design, engineering and manufacturing, reports Themanufacturer.com.

As with the rest of its business and manufacturing, AMC will operate out of Aston Martin's headquarters in Warwickshire.

Andy Palmer, Aston Martin chief engineering officer, said: "My belief is that we can expand the provision of our expertise and experience even further.

"The formation of Aston Martin Consulting means that we can offer a more structured approach to these projects."

Heading up AMC will be the manufacturer's managing director Bradley Yorke-Biggs who has spent over a decade working on the senior management team for the company.

Commenting on the new venture, he stated that he is excited to be providing services and working with many different sectors "both automotive and beyond" as part of expanding Aston Martin's horizons.
