Express palletised distribution service, Palletways UK has absorbed John T Evans Haulage, after the business went into administration.

Palletways has taken over the business and finances of the two John T Evans depots in Barry in Wales and Avonmouth in Bristol, reports Logistics Manager.

A spokesperson for Palletways said: "John T Evans has been a long-standing member of Palletways, providing an excellent service for the delivery of small consignments of palletised freight to customers in south Wales and the Bristol area."

In order to make the transition a smooth one, Palletways intends to work with the John T Evans teams in both cities to ensure that there isn't a drop in customer service.

Although the John T Evans company name is no more, none of its staff have had to suffer from redundancies, as Palletways took them on as part of the company acquisition.
