Dutch non-food discount retailer Action has pre-let its first mega shed in France that is comprised of eight units.

These units total a space of 516,668 square feet at the Prologis Park Moissy 2 in Seine-et-Marn, reports Logistics Manager.

When it is finished the long-term total of the shed will be more than 764,238 square feet over 12 units.

This building marks Action's first French logistics platform and also its only distribution centre that is outside the Netherlands.

Although the company mostly operates out of the Netherlands, it will be increasing the amount of stores that it will open in France due to the building of the logistics hub.

The space will provide storage, management and distribution of consumer products to over 100 different Action stores throughout France.

There will be more than 500 jobs created as a result of this hub, including positions for drivers, order pickers and administrative and management staff.

Over the next five years, the jobs that will be available have the potential to be doubled at this logistics hub.
