Surrey to benefit from Amazon Prime Now

13 April 2016/Categories: Industry News

Online retailer Amazon has launched its one-hour Prime Now service in various areas of Surrey.

This is a speedy offering from the company that is available to all of its customers who have Prime memberships, reports Logistics Manager.

Some of the postcodes that are going to be receiving Prime Now deliveries are Camberley, Lightwarer and Aldershot.

Jason Weston, director of Amazon Prime Now in the UK, said: "Prime Now is our fastest delivery option ever and from today [13th April] Prime customers in Surrey can get the items they need quickly delivered right to the door in under an hour."

Some of the products that customers will be able to get delivered include fresh milk, nappies and last-minute gifts.

Although it's a one-hour service, it's expected that deliveries will actually take less than sixty minutes overall.

The privilege of having products delivered within an hour costs £6.99, however, by selecting a two-hour slot delivery will be free.
