Impact is the sole distributor for Konecranes in the UK and Ireland, and now the company has invested more than £1 million into its hire fleet.
The company has bought five new Konecranes lift trucks, including two reach-stackers, two heavy-duty forklifts and a truck outfitted for specialist applications, reports Logistics Manager.
Plans are to strengthen its hire fleet offerings with these different vehicles, as demand is requiring it to do so.
Terry Kendrew, Impact managing director, said: "This investment demonstrates our commitment to meeting all our customers' materials handling needs, rapidly and with the minimum of fuss."
By being able to supply these large crane-operated vehicles, the company will be facilitating the ease of managing mixed fleets of materials that their customers receive.
Similarly, having a 45-tonne reach-stacker means that their clients will have few obstacles in their way when it comes to height, making distribution of materials much easier.
