Launched along the Manchester Ship Canal, it has opened thanks to an investment of £2 million, reports Logistics Manager.
Ecocem is working with Peels Ports on the terminal, which will be handling imports of cement from the company's production facility that is based in Dublin Port.
Once it has been imported to Manchester, it will be processed and then transported throughout various area's of the UK's construction industry.
Delivery will be carried out through various forms away from the port, including via road, rail and water.

As a result of working closely, Peel Ports has enabled Ecocem to speed up the time of its delivery from port to customer.
