Johnsons Coach & Bus Travel, a family run business based in Henley-in-Arden, near Stratford-upon-Avon, has taken delivery of four luxury specification Euro6 Plaxton Panthers.

Johnsons Coach & Bus Travel, a family run business based in Henley-in-Arden,   near Stratford-upon-Avon, has taken delivery of four luxury specification Euro6 Plaxton Panthers.

They join the company’s fleet of 80 vehicles and will support the extensive programme of holidays, excursions and private hires operated by Johnsons throughout the year.

All four vehicles are 12.8m models on Volvo B11R chassis powered by 11-litre, 410bhp engines. They have I-Shift transmission and are fitted with toilet facilities. Two of the coaches are “club class” 49-seat vehicles offering extended leg-room, while the other two are 53-seaters.

All of the coaches have luxury Brusa seats with leather headrests and piping, sophisticated monitoring and DVD systems, and full climate control.

Managing Director John Johnson commented: “This latest order follows the recent success we have had with ADL Enviro200 midi buses and Enviro400 double decks, plus the exceptional performance of a new Plaxton Panther which joined our fleet at Whittle Coaches, in Kidderminster, last year.

“All of these vehicles have fitted seamlessly into our various operations delivering reliability, fuel economy and outstanding all-round performance. In addition, the support we have had from ADL and Plaxton has been second to none. We look forward to extending our relationship with them.”
