Weardale Motor Services has been impressed with both of the Irizar Integral coaches it has brought into the fleet, the latest being this 12.9-metre i6.
The Bishop Auckland company bought its little sister, a 10.8-metre 41-seater last year, and pressed it into service for the first time as the 2016 season started. The big coach has, though, hit the ground running, and is putting a smile on the faces of driver and passengers alike.
“It's a fantastic coach and sits well on the road – a really nice addition to the fleet,” said Director Anthony Gibson. “I must also pay tribute to Irizar UK's Ian Hall, who provided us with exceptional service throughout.”
The coach has 57 i6 Lux seats, wood-effect flooring, extra marker lights and air horns and has a reversing camera and tow hitch. Weardale specified the powerful MX11 435 engine, and ZF's acclaimed AS-Tronic auto-change gearbox.
A DAF-based fleet for some time, Weardale says the DAFaid/ITS service and dealer network are a real boon for its 17-coach front-line fleet, and the other 40 vehicles which are engaged in every type of work from private hire to stage carriage.
