Automotive business Magna International is set to build a plant in Britain in order to supply parts for Jaguar Land Rover (JLR).
The North American company will be creating 300 new jobs in the British market, as the new site opens in Telford, reports The Telegraph.
Magna will be casting lightweight aluminium parts for JLR in the new 255,000 square foot factory, which is ready for construction this year.
The first parts will be ready to come off the line and into the automotive industry in 2018, which will be used to help make cars in the country more efficient.
As one of the largest suppliers into the automotive industry, Magna has 306 manufacturing plants throughout 29 different countries.
Judging from its decision to build a new plant in Britain, it seems that Magna has confidence in the future of the UK car industry, which could be affected by the outcome of the impending referendum.
