Yusen Logistics UK (YLUK) has significantly increased its operations for clients in the solar energy sector, successfully delivering solar panels to support the construction of seven industrial multi-megawatt solar farms in just six months. These solar farms cover over 500 acres of land, the equivalent of more than 250 football pitches.
YLUK has successfully delivered high value and oversized items such as solar panels, transformers and generators direct to end-user sites from multiple origin points across South East Asia.
Providing end-to-end supply chain solutions including optimised route planning and on-site support, YLUK has steadily built expertise within the solar industry over the last two years. More recently, the Company has experienced a significant ramp up in business as a result of increased customer demand.
YLUK’s success can be attributed to its extensive service portfolio, which has been specifically tailored to support the unique requirements of the solar supply chain. Solar farms are often situated in sites with limited access and of varying topographies, so YLUK provides advance site assessments to ensure delivery routes are adequate and optimised.
