EDS Couriers doubles capacity with new Cannock site

13 July 2016/Categories: Industry News

Black Country-based EDS Couriers has doubled its capacity after moving onto a new 2.5-acre site in Heath Hayes, Cannock.

The upgrade was made possible thanks to a £3 million investment secured through funding partners NatWest, Royal Bank of Scotland and Lombard Asset Finance.

The delivery firm, which has been part of the APC Overnight delivery network since 2003, has enjoyed rapid growth in recent years, expanding its workforce from 15 in 2013 to more than 100 employees, with 20 of those positions created in the last six months. It currently has more than 120 depots nationwide.

Managing director Andy Evans - son of founder Len Evans - said: "We’ve seen huge growth in the delivery market during recent years and this has allowed us to take on more staff.

"We’re achieving 30 per cent year-on-year growth at the moment and are continually looking for the best people to help us keep growing."
