Hoyer has secured a long term deal to transport fuel for BP in the UK.
The contract will see the Hamburg-headquartered logistics company manage stock, scheduling, despatch, order taking, physical execution and reconciliation of all retail fuels in the UK, and at airports in Northern Ireland.
More than 120 vehicles and 400 drivers and staff will be involved in fulfilling the BP contract.
Mark Binns, chairman of Hoyer Petrolog UK, said: “The agreement is a significant step in Hoyer achieving its strategic growth objectives for both the UK and across Europe.
“This contract award also builds on the already existing relationship between the Hoyer Group and BP who are one of our most important corporate customers.”
Established in 1946, Hoyer specialises in the transportation of bulk liquids, powders and gases.
It expanded operations into the UK in 1974 and now employs 1,000 British workers with a global workforce exceeding 5,200 people in over 80 countries. It has an annual turnover of €1 billion (£833.7bn).
