The Membership Representatives Group (MRG) is the main route for members’ views to get to Board, and vice versa. The Board met on 23 March. Almost half way through the financial year, our finances are broadly in line with the budget although there is some volatility in some areas, making planning for the rest of the year a challenge. Our investments in the last year were not particularly strong, although slightly ahead of the market. Projects, including market research and the website, are proceeding. There have been a number of staff changes including some leavers and changes to the organisation structure. The Board discussed concerns raised by the Nations, Regions and Forums Chairs and will be replying to them.

From the MRG’s perspective I have expressed concern that the development of the strategy had not been progressed since the awayday in January, and also that the governance review was not making progress.
