Stagecoach Group is a leading international public transport company, with operations in the UK, United States and Canada. The company began its journey in 1980 when co-founder Sir Brian Souter and his sister Ann Gloag OBE started operating bus services using two vehicles.

The Group now operates bus, coach, rail, and tram services in regulated and deregulated markets and carries millions of customers every day. There are three core divisions - UK Bus, Rail and North America - as well as a number of joint ventures.

Stagecoach is the UK’s biggest bus and coach operator. The company has major city bus operations in London, Manchester, Liverpool, Newcastle, Hull, Sheffield, Oxford and Cambridge, as well as inter-urban services linking smaller locations. Stagecoach also runs the low-cost coach service in the UK and is part of the Scottish Citylink joint venture, running coach services across Scotland.

The Group is also a UK rail operator, directly running the East Midlands Trains network and part of a partnership between Stagecoach and Virgin which jointly runs the West Coast inter-city rail franchise.

Stagecoach also operates Supertram, a major tram network in Sheffield.

In North America, the Group operate the inter-city coach brand, as well as commuter, tour and charter services.
