With its origins as a School of Navigation dating to back to 1862, the University of Plymouth offers a suite of undergraduate and postgraduate logistics, shipping, procurement and supply chain programmes within the Business School. Our programmes include Maritime Business and Maritime Law, International Supply Chain and Shipping Management and International Shipping amongst many others.

The Department of International Logistics, Shipping and Operations’ expertise in shipping reflects the long-standing maritime tradition and world-leading reputation of the University of Plymouth in this area. This, together with our extensive industry links, enables us to provide a comprehensive, research-led and business-informed teaching offer.

Staff members are actively involved in research across many areas of logistics, supply chain management, and shipping, and regularly publish in top quality journals such as the International Journal of Operations and Production Management and Transportation Research.
