Arriva London 

Arriva London is one of the largest bus operators in London, providing around 18 per cent of the capital’s bus services, operating 98 routes under contract to Transport for London (TfL).

We are part of the Arriva Group, which is owned by Deutsche Bahn, a leading European transport operator, with over 60,000 employees and operations across 14 European countries.

With operations in Croatia, Czech Republic, Denmark, Hungary, Italy, the Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Serbia, Slovenia, Slovakia, Spain, Sweden and the UK, Arriva provides more than 2.2 billion passenger journeys every year. Arriva runs a range of transport services including buses, trains, coaches, waterbuses and airport-related transport services, and bus and coach distribution.

Arriva London operates from fifteen garages across London: Ash Grove, Barking, Brixton, Clapton, Croydon, Dartford, Edmonton, Enfield, Grays, Norwood, Palmers Green, Stamford Hill, Thornton Heath, Tottenham, and Wood Green.

Contracts involve routes, vehicles and timetables specified by TfL and are closely monitored to ensure services are of the highest quality.

In total, Arriva London operates more than 50 million miles each year, carries nearly 300 million passengers, and has a workforce of well over 4,500 employees representing the diverse community which we serve.

Arriva London has a fleet of over 1600 buses, including double-decks and single-decks of various lengths.

Our chassis are from Dennis, VDL and Volvo; bodies are from ADL, Wrights and Optare. The fleet includes over 400 hybrid vehicles, just under 300 New Routemasters and 10 electric buses.

For a touch of nostalgia, we have our own Heritage Fleet of historic vintage Routemasters.
