As a Transport Manager within this dynamic organisation you will be overseeing a delivery service that focuses on providing an amazing customer experience. Every day will be different and will bring with it, diverse challenges. As well as managing the day-to-day operation to ensure that the Transport function is monitored and targeted you will lead and develop the Transport Operations, Planning and Administration Teams.
Proven experience of managing within a 3PL, parcels or retail Transport function is a given and previous experience of managing transformational projects within a Transport / Distribution function would be advantageous. An understanding of Continuous Improvement techniques; KPI development and management; Transport Legislation and Regulations; Employment Law, operational cost improvement management and current H&S legislation are also pre-requisites. A CPC in Road Transport Management is essential as is knowledge of vehicle routing and scheduling software such as Paragon.
Essentially, we seek a proactive Manager, who as well as having a strong transport background and a positive approach to enforcing change, is also able to work with high levels of integrity and common sense. You will need to be a results-oriented and forward-thinking individual who has the energy and determination needed to make things happen!
