The Defence Science and Technology Laboratory (DSTL)

DSTL is one of the principal government organisations dedicated to science and technology in the defence and security field.  DSTL supplies specialist services to MOD and wider government, working collaboratively with external partners in industry and academia worldwide, providing expert research, specialist advice and invaluable operational support.

The Logistics capability within DSTL focuses on providing evidence to support decision making within Defence Support, informing short-term operational planning, as well as long-term capability planning. This covers advice on policies and current and future capabilities including equipment and engineering support, medical logistics support, energy analysis and future technologies.
