Speaker: Andy Barnetson - Director of Packaging Affairs at the Confederation of Paper Industries (CPI), Andrew Wilson - Logistics and Distribution Improvement Manager

As supply chains seek greater efficiencies, the packaging industry has to adapt. Add to that the fact that society is undergoing a major change in the way that it views packaging and that Government is proposing to introduce some sweeping changes to the way that packaging is regulated.  It all means that now, more than ever before, the packaging industry needs to be streamlined and carefully consider its choice of materials.

Andy Barnetson, Director of Packaging Affairs at the Confederation of Paper Industries (CPI), will review the regulatory developments that are on the horizon both in UK and across Europe, the impact of the change in consumer opinion, and consider some of the changes that are likely to follow.

Andrew Wilson has over 20 years experience of managing logistics and distribution improvement projects. These have involved the implementation of Right Size packaging technology solutions within e-fulfilment operations which have resulted in measurable labour, packaging and distribution benefits, with the environmental improvements recognised by the Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport at both a Regional and National level. Andrew will be discussing his experiences with supply chain improvement projects and how Right Size packaging can deliver considerable benefits for e-fulfilment operations.

During this event you will also experience a tour of the Ribble manufacturing site, discover the latest advancements in automated packaging solutions and gain a valuable insight into the logistical benefits which can be attained through right sizing your packaging.
