This is a rare opportunity to get up close & personal, airside at East Midlands Airport using a minibus to reach where the action takes place.

East Midlands Airport is home to the UK’s largest express air freight operation. Most of this activity takes place at night. This visit will provide an opportunity to observe the start of the night operation as the first wave of inbound cargo flights land at East Midlands to unload and reload before heading out to meet connecting flights in Europe.

State size for PPE & safety shoes, or bring their own.

A fantastic opportunity to visit DHL’s Freight Hub at East Midlands Airport, including an airside tour. The highlights of the visit will be:

 
• Overview of the warehouse operations
• Offloading & loading of domestic & international material
• Tour of DHL apron with overview of airside operations
• Visit to the Control Tower
• Plane Simulator experience with a qualified pilot
