This years’ celebrations will take us back to our roots at
Portland Place where The Chartered Institute of Transport was first established
before evolving into who we are today as The Chartered Institute of Logistics
and Transport. The beautiful venue of RIBA, is the perfect back drop to this
popular event with feature speakers and updates from CILT combined with the
opportunity to mix with old friends and meet with new industry colleagues.
2018 Fellows' Lunch
Last year we were joined by Ben Farrell MBE at the Fellows’ Lunch. Ben has been the Head of Central Operations and Transport at John Lewis for the past five years and was previously a Colonel in the Irish Guards.
He presented the Fellows' Lunch with some fascinating insights into his career and how our profession will shape the future. His fun presentation style set the tone for this hugely enjoyable event and was a ‘must attend event’ for rising stars as well senior members of our profession.
Colonel Ben Farrell provided a fascinating insight into his own leadership challenges whilst working for the Army. ‘It’s essential you make people feel confident. Good leadership is vital in all aspects of life, it’s all about giving people the potential to succeed.’ Make sure you read January’s Focus magazine for a full write-up from this fabulous event.
The Fellows’ Lunch offers attendees an unrivalled opportunity to meet leading figures within the Institute and the wider professional community. We were joined by many industry thought-leaders and encourage attendees to make the most of this excellent networking opportunity.
Future Fellows' Lunches will include a Leading Edge event to offer an opportunity for members to invite their leaders of the future to mix with senior figures from within the profession and to meet with new industry colleagues.
