Forterra is a leading manufacturer of a diverse range of clay and concrete building products, used extensively within the construction sector, and employs over 1,900 people across 18 manufacturing facilities in the UK.
It is the second largest brick and Aircrete block manufacturer in the country, and the only producer of the iconic London Brick.

We operate a dedicated distribution fleet of 157 flexible crane-equipped vehicles suitable for deliveries to sites where space is restricted.
All drivers undertake a thorough induction and training program, which includes both company processes and procedures, customer service and legislative requirements:
- All drivers are trained/certified to ALLMI standard in lorry loader operation, along with annual DVSA safety training
- We are FORS Accredited, FTA & CILT Members
- We employ 180 drivers, & 2 full time driver trainers
- We cover 24 million miles, delivering 2.6m tonnes of product, 100,000 deliveries a year.
- All vehicles are Euro 5/6 compliant with on-board telematics and live tracking
Our aim is to have the safest and most engaged workforce possible and therefore we continue to deliver nationally recognized training and qualifications from institutions such as NEBOSH, IOSH, DVSA, CITB and IAM.
