Plymouth Citybus

Plymouth Citybus is the largest provider of public transport within Plymouth and its travel to work area, carrying over 18 million passengers a year.

Now part of the Go-Ahead Group, Plymouth Citybus was purchased from Plymouth City Council back in 2009. 

Although gaining many benefits from being part of the Go-Ahead Group, Plymouth Citybus is locally managed in the heart of its operations, keeping the brand and identity of Plymouth Citybus. 

Plymouth Citybus employs over 550 people and is a very active member of the local community, supporting various local activities and being patrons of Devon Chamber of Commerce and Industry. 

In December 2014 Plymouth Citybus took over the South East Cornwall ex Western Greyhound operations, under the name of Go Cornwall Bus, expanding further into the Plymouth travel to work area.

In 2016 Plymouth Citybus were recognised on the national platform, being highly commended at the National Transport Awards and shortlisted at the Route One Awards for Large Bus Operator of the Year.

On a local level Plymouth Citybus won Large Business of the Year at The Herald Business Awards and Devon Chamber of Commerce Awards in 2016.

Plymouth Citybus have recently regained Investors in People Gold standard and it currently holds a passenger satisfaction rating of 90%.
