GET INFORMED: CILT to continue to produce industry-leading Transition Period webinars

CILT will continue to host a number of industry leading events looking at the context of the EU supply chain in a post-Brexit world. The Institute has already hosted two special Transition Period webinars, that are available to view on CILT’s YouTube page.

CILT is now encouraging its members to book their place on the following not-to-be-missed webinars, that will help advise and guide members and operators on how to continue to prepare for disruption and to trade with the EU with as little friction as possible.

THE NORTHERN IRELAND PROTOCOL

The next in in the series of webinars to be held on Wednesday 10th March. This webinar will focus on the Northern Ireland Protocol. The webinar will bring together government representatives and department and industry contributors to review the food and consumer supply chain issues, as well as the disruption generated by the Protocol. We will also discuss the solutions available to enable Northern Ireland supply chains to return to previous volumes and service quality standards.

THE IMPACT OF BREXIT ON THE SUPPLY CHAIN (organised by the ELA and CILT(UK))

CILT, in association with The European Logistics Association (ELA), is also pleased to announce that it will host a special webinar on 16th March 16th, between 11.30 and 14.30 (Brussels time), that will provide a practical and educational insight to support the supply chain community to adapt with the help of valuable information provided by our top speakers.

The event is addressed to professionals both from the continent and from UK, companies with import/export activity: manufacturers, retailers, logistics companies, freight forwarders, consultants, and others, and will cover topics such as:

  • The EU-UK trade agreement - impact for businesses?
  • Post-Brexit exporting/importing: practical case studies
  • Customs specifications: VAT, Customs Duty, Origin of goods
  • Understanding of the risks across the supply chains
  • Improve resilience and adapt your supply chain

TRANSITION PERIOD PROGRESS REVIEW

On Friday 19th February, the Institute hosted its second Transition Period Planning Webinar that covered the changes due to be implemented from 1st April and looked ahead to the final tranche to be implemented on 1st July, as well as pick up any outstanding issues for further clarification.
