Global supply chain solutions company Brambles has appointed Marisa Sánchez as its new Global Supply Chain Decarbonisation Director.
The newly created position will drive the necessary transformation to help Brambles achieve its Paris-aligned carbon reduction targets and contribute towards its Regenerative Supply Chain ambitions, take advantage of opportunities from the low carbon economy and make the business more sustainable.
Sánchez' career includes working for the Australian provider of commercial explosives and blasting systems Orica, where she was Principal Advisor for Climate Change prior to joining Brambles, Climate Neutral Standards in New York, Deloitte both in Australia and Spain and Action Against Hunger, where she coordinated a team in the Water Hyacinth Project assessing the Philippines' vulnerability to flood.
Working with the supply chain and sustainability leadership teams across Brambles and CHEP, Sánchez will develop and implement Brambles’ carbon reduction strategy globally.
She’ll incorporate the company’s 2025 ‘Climate Positive’ objectives into its supply chain operations and determine the actions required to reach the carbon reduction commitments, including Brambles’ zero carbon business model for customers.
