InPost has announced its latest international growth milestone, having deployed just over 3,000 locker units in the UK.
It follows a number of significant partnerships in 2021 including landlords such as Transport for London, Tesco, and Westfield, in addition to supporting over 100 major retailers from Missguided, Boohoo to JD Sports.
Today’s announcement marks a critical step for InPost and its mission to provide communities with convenient, accessible, and greener delivery options. Parcel lockers offer consumers a quick and convenient way to collect and return items, while also directly impacting the number of last mile deliveries on UK streets, helping to reduce carbon emissions.
Jason Tavaria, CEO of InPost UK said: “This year alone we’ve installed nearly two thousand parcel lockers across the UK, responding to growing interest from retailers and landlords looking to bolster their environmental performance.
“Lifestyles and shopping habits have irrevocably changed during the pandemic, and our rapid growth reflects this shift.”
InPost parcel lockers are available 24/7 and located across the length and breadth of the country including at train stations, supermarkets, and petrol forecourts. The company is on track to deploy one of the largest automated parcel networks in the UK, with over 10,000 locker units in operation by 2024.
