On April 10th 2014 the first-ever European Supply Chain Day will take place. The Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport is the primary contact point for all UK-based Supply Chain Day activities.
This is the first time Supply Chain Day events will be held on the same day across Europe and it is sure to be an exciting opportunity to raise awareness of the logistics and supply chain profession.
A variety of events have been confirmed to celebrate European Supply Chain Day in the UK. Highlights of the day include:
CILT’s Young Professionals Forum will visit business students at Uxbridge College to raise awareness and explain the importance of the supply chain industry to global trade

CILT is also holding an open day at our offices in Corby, Northamptonshire. It’s a great opportunity to meet the Institute’s team, enquire about courses and training, explore the capabilities of the John Williams Library and the International Knowledge Centre, discover the variety of careers within the logistics profession and take advantage of membership offers available on the day. The Institute is encouraging an open door policy and will be welcoming visitors from 10am til 4pm.
If you haven’t yet organised an event and are interested in getting involved in European Supply Chain Day it’s not too late. For more information about the day or CILT’s Open Day please contact Melanie Stark at the Institute: melanie.stark@ciltuk.org.uk
