The Fleet Operator Recognition Scheme (FORS) has announced that a milestone 300th practitioner has joined the initiative.
Travis Perkins accepted practitioner status - and head of group transport and risk compliance for the firm Ron Searle welcomed the achievement.
He said his company saw an improvement in road user safety after it achieved practitioner status.
"Our drivers and entire fleet are now at an exceptional standard and Travis Perkins Plc continues to demonstrate a commitment to raising professional standards for our staff, customers and the industry," he commetned.
All operators accredited by FORS are eligible to become practitioner operators once they have first completed each of the nine FORS modules.
These offer guidance on a wide range of relevant industry topics, such as road transport policy, work related road safety, and monitoring road fleet performance.
