RSPB

The RSPB is Europe’s largest nature conservation charity. We exist to help our birds, other wildlife and natural places to survive and thrive. Together with our partners, we protect threatened birds and wildlife so that our towns, coast and countryside will teem with life once again.  A country that’s not home to skylarks and puffins, red squirrels and hedgehogs is not a place any of us wants to live in. To save nature, we team up with politicians, businesses, other organisations, and, most importantly, with millions of people across the UK. By working together, we can unite to create homes for our threatened wildlife, so that our towns and countryside will teem with life once again.  And by playing a leading role in a global partnership of nature conservation organisations, the RSPB helps to secure the future of nature right across the world.

Our work is focussed on the species and habitats that are in the greatest danger. In the UK, the RSPB manages over 150,000 hectares at over 200 UK nature reserves, which are home to 80% of our rarest or most threatened bird species.

RSPB Trading is an important source of funding for the charity. We operate a web shop and mail order service selling bird food, feeders, gifts, and optics. We also sell our products through supermarkets and garden centres, and have 23 RSPB retail shops around the UK.
