The Innovation, Technology and Operations Management (ITOM) group at Norwich Business School undertake research, scholarship and teaching in the fields of innovation, technology and operations management. The group have particular strengths in the areas of value chain analysis, supply chain strategy and supply management, data analytics, sustainable energy, social media and digital transformation. We have expertise in business analytics and a variety of modelling and data driven decision support and optimisation techniques. We work across manufacturing and services. We have particular expertise in agri-food, energy and the digital sector. Our group’s MSc Operations and Logistics Management course will facilitate you learn how to anticipate and respond to problems, and how to create order in the most complex situations. We have strong links to industry, and our students also learn from practising experts and guest speakers.
The course is carefully designed to help you understand the primary and supporting activities in a value chain, and operations and logistics management practices. You will study key areas such as inventories, transportation, warehousing, procurement, supply chain and logistics operations, sustainable supply chains, innovations and technology management, low-carbon supply chain, and materials management.
