Course Structure & Modules
All learners must complete three units to achieve the qualification: the two mandatory units and one optional unit.
Unit 1: Business Operations along the Supply Chain (Mandatory)
An introduction to the various components of the supply chain and the interconnected activities facilitated along global supply chains. Develop an understanding of the wider business environment including current best practice on how to effectively implement strategic plans and measure performance as well as the underpinning principles of people management, sustainable quality and cost management.
Unit 2: Cross-functional Interconnectivity (Mandatory)
Learn about the interaction of elements along the supply chain with a focus on inventory management processes, including the importance of defining and managing data and information along the supply chain. Develop an understanding of the value chain and supply chain resilience with an emphasis on digital transformation.
Unit 3: Production Operations Management (Optional)
Analyse the various planning systems used to plan for and forecast demand, materials requirements planning and capacity requirements planning as well as production operations. Review the various approaches to shop floor management and control tools and analyse various investigative improvement techniques to support a programme of continuous improvement and identify the processes that support the circular economy.
Unit 4: Logistics & Supply Chain Operations (Optional)
Explore the physical operations that occur along the supply chain including, physical inventory management, handling and storage functions of inventory within a warehouse and distribution centre, and the implications of the logistics and transport functions that provide the connecting element along the supply chain.
Learners work to a structured timetable and materials are released as per the timetable.

You won't be alone on your learning journey. Our dedicated CILT(UK) Learning Centre team is here to support you every step of the way; from enrolment through to your final assessment results and personalised feedback.
To achieve the qualification, three assessments must be completed, and a minimum of a pass mark must be achieved in each assessment.
Each mandatory unit is assessed via a written assignment.
The optional unit is assessed via a 2 hour and 15-minute closed book online invigilated written examination.
