The Role
As a Transport Planner, you will be responsible for planning and coordinating daily transport operations, ensuring deliveries are completed safely, efficiently, and cost-effectively while maintaining exceptional service standards.
Key Responsibilities
Plan and optimise daily vehicle routes and driver schedules.
Ensure all transport activities comply with legal and company requirements, including driver hours and vehicle compliance.
Communicate effectively with drivers, customers, and internal departments.
Monitor vehicle movements and respond quickly to operational issues.
Maximise fleet utilisation while minimising empty running and transport costs.
Manage customer bookings and delivery schedules.
Resolve customer queries and delivery issues professionally.
Maintain accurate transport records and operational reports.
Work closely with warehouse and operations teams to ensure seamless service delivery.
Support continuous improvement initiatives within the transport department.
