Date & Time: 10 November 2026 - 17:30 - 19:00
Where: Online
Host: Craig Lamberton, Passenger Transport Manager, East Sussex County Council
Craig will provide an overview of how East Sussex County Council and local bus operators have worked collaboratively through the East Sussex Bus Service Improvement Plan (BSIP) and Enhanced Partnership since their introduction in 2021. The presentation will reflect on the progress made between 2021 and 2026 in delivering the ambitious vision to transform bus services across the county, making them more attractive, convenient, affordable, and accessible for residents and visitors alike.
The session will showcase key achievements, challenges and lessons learned, exploring the impact of BSIP investment on service quality, passenger growth, and network improvements. Craig will also examine the wider social and economic benefits delivered through enhanced bus services, including improved access to employment, education, healthcare, and community opportunities, alongside an assessment of the value for money achieved through the programme. The presentation will conclude by considering whether East Sussex has realised its original ambitions and what this means for the future of public transport in the county.
